WHY ARE THE RSPCA ALLOWED TO KEEP CONTROLLED DRUGS AND AMMUNITION



Why are unqualified RSPCA Inspectors allowed to administer and be in posession of a Class B drug, when even highly-trained veterinary nurses are not allowed to do this?

I would hazard a guess that the reasons that the RSPCA are allowed to have illegal drugs, carry weapons and use them unlawfully have something to do with the fact that the police allow them to trespass and steal animals - especially horses, see RSPCA v Martin Griffin and Gina Griffin - even when they are under the care of a specialist vet.
