As a dog shower we have had knowledge of this for a long time, but our opinions have fallen on deaf ears. This so called charity is just a bunch of murderers . Simply do not give them one penny

An open letter to RSPCA trustees & members.
When did the 'P' in your title come to stand for Persecution or Prosecution,Is Prevention no longer your remit?
Let us just take your 35k recent spend, and look at a headline grabbing soundbite.
"more animals than ever are needing our help" yes, indeed they are, and these animals on the whole are owned by people who put their animals first, but due to economic constraints are finding it harder than ever to afford routine medical treatments, in many cases through no fault of their own. But as far as your CEo is concerned these people should have their animals taken from them, he makes no bones about this, hardly good PR is it. How many microchips, vaccinations, neutering or flea treatments could your 35k spend have provided? Now that would have been good PR, that one act of "prvention" in 'provision' of help.
You may say that you provide this at your animal hospitals, but do you? How many ordinary folk, thaose who you would rather 'prosecute'either actually know this or have the transport to get to a hospital in their locality? You have many branch shelters who, by your sharing of monies collected, could employ a vet once a week to provide such treatments, and were this the case there are many vets and nurses who would, I am sure provide their time for free. You in return, would have your good PR, you would be getting some headway in your quest for more animals to be microchipped and neutered.
You would be proving your core interest, was still the animal, was still prevention.
Instead of how you are seen at the moment as a society, a charity, whos only interest is sitting like a preying mantis waiting to pounce.
Get back to your core values and provided help to the animals of the UK.
Drop your courting of pseudo celebrities and people with a political axe to grind.
Education not prosecution, help not persecution. Feel good headlines, not headline court cases - 5 January 2013 at 07:29

The RSPCA's policy on the badger cull shows exactly how out of touch they are with animal welfare ! Bovine TB apart, which EVERYONE knows is spread by badgers, the devastation badgers cause to other ground living fauna is phenomenal ! In hotspot areas, they are now the biggest single cause of death to hedgehogs, with some parts of South Gloucestershire and Somerset, the hedgehog has been totally wiped out ! People should STOP their donations in order to put pressure on them to rethink their lunacy !

A missguided and ill informed quote from a prosecution supporter "DrBrianMay
If anyone tells you their dogs killed a fox 'by accident' remember a fox will be out in daylight ONLY if its earth has been blocked up."
Utter nonsense, and yet blind followers take this as gospel, dismiss these peddlars and take a step back to your core values, a society we could have been proud of.
The aim for complete control for animal welfare is actually quite scary, as is the talk coming from Team Badger, activists have no place in todays society.

I tried to get a dog from Bath Cats and Dogs (RSPCA) home and they lied to me about the nature of the dog - they said dog was kind natured on the website but when you arrive and have a "one to one" they tell you lots of bad things about the dogs not publicised on the web site. Next I had a home visit - I live in a 2 bedroom house with garden. I was told my house was too small to have a medium sized dog and maybe I should get a Jack Russell which I found patronising. I ended up giving up with them as they were throwing obstacles in my way all the time. I got a dog within days with another rescue organisation. What are the RSPCA for - they didnt want to let me rehome a dog!

I thought that the RSPCA destroying animals it can no longer care for was common knowledge. The Dogs Trust make it pretty clear in their advertisements that 'no health animal is destroyed'. I once went to the Leeds RSPCA to adopt a dog, but was told we lived too far away, so went to the Dogs Trust instead (even further away!) and adopted a Chow Chow and then a year or so later a deaf Old English Sheepdog from the OES rescue centre in Horncastle, Lincolshire. I used to donate via DD to the RSPCA but stopped it years ago as they lost their way in pet care.
